My name is Lauren and I am a 26 year old mother of one beautiful little girl. Before I was a mother I was a graphic designer and still like to dabble every now and then, but my true passion is reading and writing. I'm not an ebook fan, I like real books that I can hold in my hands and feel a sense of achievement as I delve deeper and deeper.
Reading does not come easy to me. When I was younger I struggled a lot with reading. I remember in year four getting in trouble from a teacher for not finishing a book faster. He assumed I wasn't spending any time reading. I was, I was just slow.
As I've gotten older I've discovered how the more I read (especially books I love) the faster I can read. Books that have encouraged me along this path are Locked in Time by Lois Duncan, The Hobbit, The Harry Potter Series and the Tortal Universe books by Tamora Pierce. I love fiction so much and I always want to have time to read and expand my mind, hence this blog.
